Harris ALCOR Aluminium Brazing Repair Rod - 2mm x 500mm - 20 Stick Pack

Alcor Flux Cored 2mm x 500mm in a 20-rod pack. ALCoR® Zinc-aluminium brazing filler metals are designed for low temperature joining of aluminium base metals. Typical aluminium braze alloys melt and flow very close to the base metal melting temperature. Alcor's lower operating temperatures of 377*C – 385*C, reduces the possibility of overheating or melting the aluminium part. It can also be used to join aluminium to copper.

These rods are UNBELIEVABLE. I have joined aluminium, copper,brass,stainless steel & galvanised steel to alike and each other. I have placed both like products & different products joined in the vice and used a small hammer to try and break the joint. Not one broke at the brazed joint. I have made a video and will see Hampdon and show them the samples I mention above. I repeat, These rods are UNBELIEVABLE and the only preparation is sand the joint area with 60 grit "sandpaper" and use a propylene gas for thicker aluminium but a propane or even a butane torch is fine for thin metals. Make sure you use the correct torch for propylene!!!!!. Goodbye to expensive aluminium, stainless steel welding setups for the home DIY enthusiast. A little practice knowing when to back the heat off on aluminium but it is NOT hard. Enjoy fellow DIYers
